According to the regulations relating to fire, your premises must be assessed for possible fire risks.

You must ensure that your business has a robust fire plan in place if you are the responsible party.

Managing your fire responsibilities does not have to be overly complicated.

Generally your findings will address.

Action requiring regular long-term reviews(annually)

Action requiring frequent (typically weekly) checks.

Some business owners believe that it is the fire companies’ responsibility to look after fire extinguishers, and that is correct.
As a business, it is your responsibility to ensure that these are checked regularly.

This course will assist you in achieving that goal.

Fire Awareness Course

The Health and Safety (Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006) and The Fire (Scotland)Act 2005 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees are safe in an emergency fire situation. This is all based on a risk assessment which will detail provisions necessary to control the risk.
