Investigation Training

Course Objective:
Staff will understand the benefits of accident investigation, how to investigate it, record it, review assessments and safe system of work and train it out.

Risk Assessment Training

Course Objective:
To maintain a safe working environment. So, individuals and groups understand what constitutes hazards and risk and control these in their workplace.

Accident Investigation Training Course

Overview:
It is invaluable to find the root cause of the accident, not to proportion blame ,but to fix what caused the accident. Doing this will hopefully prevent it happening again.

This course looks particularly at your systems, if you need to understand RIDDOR then please mention this when booking and allow extra time.

Course Objective:
Staff will understand the benefits of accident investigation, how to investigate it, record it, review assessments and safe system of work and train it out.

Course content:
Prerequisite company paperwork for accident investigation reporting. Where possible an old accident report, with all staff identification removed (case study). Otherwise, we use a case study.

1. All accidents that occur at work should be recorded – this includes minor injuries.
2. Company accident book and recording info
3. Accident investigation should follow a five-point process as follows:

1. Initial response
 What happened?
 Where did it happen?
 When did it happen?
 Who was involved?
 How did it happen?
 Why did it happen?
2. Gather facts and information.
3. Analyse the information.
4. Identify risk control measures.
5. Action planning and implementation

Risk Assessment Training

Overview:
The main focus on Managing your Health and Safety in the workplace is based on this thing
called risk assessment, it’s no more than a careful observation of the risks present in your workplace
(significant)which might cause people harm. Then doing something about it before it causes harm (control it).

Course Objective:
